Dean of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics, University of Warsaw invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the research and teaching group in the field of Spanish linguistics.

Skills/Qualifications
The successful candidate for the position shall comply with the requirements specified in art. 113 of The Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571 with amendments) and possess:
- a PhD degree of Humanities in Linguistics (specialization: Spanish linguistics) or Literary Studies (specialization: Spanish literary studies);
- MA degree in the field of Spanish language;
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish;
- Proficient knowledge of Polish (enabling fluent teaching at the university level and conducting research on the Polish language, e.g., in a comparative context);
- Teaching experience in language and linguistics courses at a higher education institution (specialization: Spanish);
- Participation in linguistic conferences;
- Participation in research projects in the field oflinguisticsor literarystudies (possibly documented by scientific publications);
- Organizational experience (e.g. conference organization);
- Experience in interinstitutional and international cooperation;
- Experience in non-academic translation and teaching work;
- Knowledge of translation tools (CAT AI, MT);
- Experience in specialized or literary translation;
Plans for scientific development supported by participation in ongoing research projects - a curriculum vitae, presenting the professional career to date;
- PhD diploma in Humanities – Linguistics (specialization: Spanish linguistics) or Literary Studies (specialization: Spanish literary studies);
- MA in the field of Spanish language studies;
- information concerning teaching experience in higher education institutions within the field of linguistics;
- information about participation in conferences, training sessions and scientific projects in the field of Spanish linguistics;
information about qualifications to work as a Spanish language teacher.
In the event that a foreign national is selected in the competition, confirmation of legal residence in Poland must be provided.
