Offer Description

Dean of the Collegium of Business Administration of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics announces a competition for the position of an assistant
professor in the group research and teaching staff in the Institute of Corporate Finance and Investment (Corporate Finance Management Unit).
The competition is addressed to people who meet the conditions set out in the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018.

Requirements
  • 1) PhD in the field of social sciences, discipline of economics and finance
  • 2) authorship of a scientific publication (monograph or scientific article), apart from that required for obtaining a doctoral degree
  • 3) participation in two scientific conferences, including at least one international conference, with a paper
  • 4) )knowledge of the use of new technologies and modern financial instruments, including on capital markets,
  • 5) knowledge of Polish at the native level and English enabling teaching at second-cycle studies in Corporate Financial Management at a minimum level of B2, confirmed by a certificate,
  • 6) presentation of a scientific development plan,
  • 7) readiness to take up employment from the beginning of the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.

The deadline for submitting documents is September 10, 2026, at 4:02 PM. Documents should be submitted to the Office of the Collegium of Business
Administration, Warsaw, Madaliłśąski Street 6/8, Room 105, or by mail to:
Warsaw School of Economics, Office of the Collegium of Business Administration,
Al. Niepodległość 162, 02-554 Warsaw, with the note "Competition for the position of Assistant Professor." For documents submitted by traditional mail, the postmark date is decisive.

An interview may be held, which the Collegium of Business Administration Office will inform you about individually.
The University reserves the right to reject the competition without providing a reason. The results of the competition do not constitute employment of the
candidate, but constitute a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The Rector makes the final decision regarding employment. The competition results will be available on the website of the Public Information Bulletin of the Warsaw School of Economics and the Minister responsible for Higher Education within 30 days after its conclusion (pursuant to Article 119, Section 3 of the Law on Higher Education and Science – Journal of Laws of 2018,item 1668, as amended).

The successful candidate is expected to commence employment on 1 October 2026 under a fixed-term employment contract for a period of up to 4 years, with
the possibility of extension. The university does not provide  accordance with the provisions of the Whistle blower Protection Act, candidates
are also provided with the opportunity to report irregularities during the recruitment process. The University guarantees confidentiality and protection of the
whistle blower.
