Department of Applied Computer Science and Modelling is looking for an employee that has PhD in Information and Communication Technology and knowledge in such areas as: numeral methods, in particular the Finite Element Method (FEM), matrix compression algorithms, including hierarchical matrices (H-matrices), machine learning methods, in particular Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs).

Skills/Qualifications

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• PhD in Information and Communication Technology,
• documented knowledge of English at least at B2 level,
• in the case of foreigners – documented knowledge of Polish at least at C1 level,
• knowledge of numerical methods, in particular the Finite Element Method (FEM),
• knowledge of matrix compression algorithms, including hierarchical matrices (H-matrices),
• knowledge of machine learning methods, in particular Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs),
• scientific achievements documented by publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings,
• teaching achievements,
• experience in teaching (lectures or tutorial/laboratory classes) in computer science or related study programmes,
• organizational achievements,
• active participation in conferences and symposia.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• experience in implementing numerical algorithms (particularly in C/C++ and Python),
• experience in scientific collaboration, including international cooperation, demonstrated through research mobility or research stays at foreign institutions,
• experience in carrying out research and development projects in an industrial environment (at last 5 years of experience),
• documented commitment to the development of teaching competences (e.g. training courses, educational programmes),
• documented involvement in the organization of scientific or educational events

• a list of scientific, teaching and organizational achievements,
• copies of diplomas and other documents confirming qualifications, professional experience (candidates who are not Polish citizens submit documents in English, while the person recommended for employment submits translations of documents into Polish),
• a document confirming knowledge of English at least at B2 level,
• in case of foreigners – a document confirming knowledge of Polish at least at C1 level.
