Skills/Qualifications

• Holding a Master’s degree in Midwifery.
• Holding a licence to practise as a midwife.
• Holding a doctoral degree in medical sciences.
• Holding a habilitated doctoral degree in medical sciences and health sciences.
• Having at least two years of professional experience in the field relevant to the following courses:
  Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Obstetric-Gynaecological Nursing – lectures and simulation classes; as well as Scientific Research in Nursing – lecture and seminar.

Specific Requirements

• Teaching experience would be an asset.
• Preference will be given to candidates who indicate that the University of Applied Sciences in Elbląg will be their primary place of employment.

Eligibility criteria

• A covering letter indicating reasons for participating in the recruitment procedure for the position of Associate Professor at the Institute of Health Sciences of University of Applied Sciences in Elbląg.
• Information on the candidate’s professional career to date.
• A list of achievements in teaching and organisational work.
• A copy of the diploma confirming the award of the professional title of Master of Midwifery, the doctoral degree, and the habilitated doctoral degree.
• A declaration confirming compliance with the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science
• A declaration that the University of Applied Sciences in Elbląg will be the candidate’s primary place of employment within the meaning of the Act – Law on Higher Education and Science
• The application may be supplemented with documents certifying to additional qualifications and achievements.

Closing date for submissions is August 10, 2026

The recruitment procedure result will be announced on September 7, 2026.

Failure to submit a complete set of documents by the above deadline will result in the application being rejected without a request to supplement missing documents.
