In accordance with Polish regulations, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Institute of Civil and Water Engineering, is seeking a candidate for the position of assistant professor. The ideal candidate should hold a postdoctoral degree in civil engineering, geodesy, and transportation.

Skills/Qualifications
- A postdoctoral degree in engineering and technical sciences in the field of structural mechanics and strength of materials,
- Published publications in the form of peer-reviewed scientific articles,
- Knowledge of Polish and English at a level enabling teaching in both languages and writing scientific articles,
- Publishing at least four monographs or articles in high-ranking scientific journals included in the relevant lists of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education,
- Managing a research project in the past or present, or submitting a research project in a competition to a research funding institution,
- Obtaining a positive opinion from the relevant teaching committee regarding the teaching activities conducted, or obtaining a positive opinion from the committee for a paper presented at a seminar organized at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (IIL SGGW),
- Meets additional requirements, including specific research, teaching, or organizational goals and tasks, specified in the competition terms, with the completion of a research internship abroad at research centers or demonstrable international research activity being considered an additional advantage;ability to work in a team.
The position covers three main areas: research, teaching, scientific cooperation. The candidate should also give the instructions and supervise the students’ homeworks. Minimum 210-hour contract per academic year.
