Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements set out in the Act of 20 July 2018 – the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended) and the Statute of the University of Wrocław.
The candidate is required to:
- Hold a Master's degree.
- Have a record of scholarly publications in linguistics published within the last three years.
- Have experience in organising academic conferences.
- Have teaching experience at a research-oriented higher education institution, particularly in teaching Polish grammar.
- Demonstrate active participation in conferences, workshops, training courses, and other forms of professional and academic development.
- Have research interests in contemporary specialist linguistics, corpus linguistics.
- Demonstrate these research interests through, for example:
- the subject matter of publications and/or teaching activities undertaken to date;
- participation in academic conferences;
- involvement in academic associations, research groups, editorial teams, or research projects;
- In view of the research profile of the Department of Corpus Linguistics, candidates must also possess:
- demonstrable proficiency in statistical analysis software and tools;
- experience working with linguistic resources, corpora, or databases;
- experience in processing personal data.
- Be fluent in Polish, both spoken and written, and have a command of English at a minimum of B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Duties and Responsibilities
Research
- Conducting research consistent with the research profile of the Department of Corpus Linguistics.
- Participating in selected research groups, editorial teams, projects, and laboratories.
- Preparing scholarly publications.
Teaching
- Undertaking teaching dutiesin the scope and volume defined for the position of the assistant.
- Teaching seminars and course-based classes in liguistics, as well as specialist courses and workshops related to corpus-linguistic tools and methods.
Administration and Service
- Performing duties related to the organisation of teaching activities within the Department of Corpus Linguistics, including organising examinations and serving as an academic adviser to student groups.
- Organising workshops, training events, and conferences.
- Photocopy(ies) of the diploma(s) confirming a master title.
- A statement that, in the event of winning the competition, the University of Wrocław will be the candidate’s primary place of employment. (download Workplace statement ).
