Dean of Faculty of Telecommunications, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, on behalf of the Rector of Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology announces a competition

for the position of Assistant Professor (F/M) in the group of teaching staff

automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies

Description (subject, requirements, comments)

The competition concerns taking up the position of Assistant Professor in a group of teaching staff at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Faculty of Telecommunications, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering as a basic or additional job.

The competition may be entered by persons who meet the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended).

An Assistant Professor will be responsible for conducting selected teaching classes in the field of lectures, auditorium exercises, laboratory exercises, and project exercises, for at least 330 hours during the academic year for full-time and part-time studies. The fields in which the Assistant Professor will conduct classes include: electrical engineering, automation and electronics.

Subjects (selected from the thematic scope listed below, depending on the candidate's education) that are planned to be entrusted to the employee are related to electronics, automation, power electronics, electrical machines, electric drive, electrical engineering, and power engineering.

It is expected that, in addition to teaching activities, the candidate will also be a supervisor of engineering diploma theses and will participate in organizational activities in the field of teaching and the organization of didactics (e.g. development/preparation of laboratory exercises, laboratory instructions, participation in program councils for fields of study).

An additional advantage will be the candidate's scientific achievements in the field of technical sciences (especially in the disciplines of automation, electronics and electrical engineering).

The candidate is required to meet the following qualification criteria:

• hold a doctoral degree in technical sciences related to automation, electronics, power electronics, electrical engineering, power engineering, energy, mechatronics, or related fields,
• have pedagogical preparation or be willing to complete a course in pedagogical preparation, and have predispositions to conduct teaching classes with students,
• in the case of foreigners, knowledge of spoken Polish sufficient to conduct classes with students is required,
• knowledge of English sufficient to conduct classes with foreigners is welcome.

• employment certificates from recent years,
• a statement that the candidate meets the conditions specified in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended),
• a statement that Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology will be the primary/additional

• a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data for the purpose of the recruitment process in accordance with the provisions of the general regulation on the protection of personal data of 27 April 2016 (Journal of Laws UE L 119 of 04/05/2016).
