The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - The Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and meet the following qualification criteria:

• the academic title of professor in the field of medical and health sciences
• have the right to practice medicine
• have the knowledge and skills to teach subjects such as histology and embryology, confirmed by the publication of at least three scientific publications in these fields, published in journals or scientific publications, both domestic and foreign, indexed in scientific databases
• have documented academic experience in teaching subjects such as histology and embryology
• declare their primary place of employment at the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz.

For foreign applicants, fluency in both written and spoken Polish is required.

Research Field Medical sciences Education Level PhD or equivalent

• teaching a total of 180 hours of full-time studies
• conducting research activities in accordance with the academic discipline represented, including research, development work, and professional development
• organizational work for the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, particularly at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences

Employment of an academic teacher in the research and teaching staff group under a full-time, fixed-term employment contract for the 2026/2027 academic year (from October 1 2026, to September 30 2027).

The competition results will be announced by August 20 2026. Information about the results, along with the justification, will be published in the University’s Public Information Bulletin and on the website of the Minister of Education and Science.

The competition committee reserves the right to interview candidates who meet the required qualification criteria. Applications that do not meet the formal requirements or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered. We reserve the right not to conclude an employment contract with the successful candidate if the expected recruitment is not forthcoming in the 2026/2027 academic year. We reserve the right to cancel the competition without providing a reason.

The competition results do not constitute employment for the candidate, but rather constitute a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The Rector makes the final decision regarding employment.
