According to the Polish regulations, Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW, Institute of Civil Engineering searches for the candidate for the position of research and teaching assistant. The ideal candidate should have adoctoral degree (PhD) or master degree in the field of engineering and technology, the area of building structures design.

Research Field Engineering » Civil engineering Education Level Master Degree or equivalent

• A doctoral degree in the field of engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of Civil Engineering, Geodesy, and Transport (or a related discipline) in the field of building structure design (applies to the position of assistant professor or assistant professor),
• A professional master's degree in civil engineering (applies to the position of assistant professor),
• Industry-specific design qualifications in the structural and building specialty will be an additional advantage,
• A track record of publications in the form of peer-reviewed scientific articles or professional achievements in the field of building structure design,
• Knowledge of Polish and English at a level sufficient to teach in both languages and write scientific articles,
• Publishing at least four monographs or articles in high-ranking scientific journals included in the relevant lists of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (applies to the position of assistant professor),
• Past or current management of a research project, or submission of a research project in a competition to a research funding institution (applies to the position of assistant professor),
• Meets additional requirements, including specific research goals and tasks. Teaching or organizational requirements, as specified in the competition terms and conditions,
• Obtaining a positive opinion from the relevant teaching committee regarding the teaching activities conducted, or obtaining a positive opinion from the committee for a paper presented at a seminar organized at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (applies to the assistant professor position),
• Skills related to the use of AutoCAD Robot or Dlubal RFEM computer programs or other programs used in structural design,
• Knowledge of the MS Office suite,
• Ability to work in a team.

The position covers three main areas: research, teaching, scientific cooperation. The candidate should also give the instructions and supervise the students’ homeworks. Minimum 240-hour contract per academic year.
