The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa hereby announces an open competition for the position of Assistant Professor (male/female) in the group of research and teaching staff
, on a full-time basis, in the Department of Psychology
.
The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements set forth in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended).
The position of Assistant Professor (male/female) in the group of research and teaching staff may be held by a person who possesses at least the academic degree of Doctor (PhD) and has scientific achievements contributing to the development of the scientific discipline represented by the employee, namely:
- Scientific articles of international scope indexed in parametric databases recognized by the ministry competent for higher education and science or, in the case of the humanities or legal sciences, scientific articles published in journals of international or nationwide scope.
- Submission of applications, as the principal investigator, in competitions for the implementation of scientific research projects financed from external sources within the meaning of the Act.
- Achievements in organizational activities, including the organization or co-organization of conferences and scientific events significant for the development of the discipline and having social impact.
- Organization of, or participation in, various forms of international cooperation.
- A positive evaluation of teaching activities confirmed by the Vice-Dean responsible for student affairs and teaching, or possession of teaching competencies relevant to the scientific discipline represented by the employee and to higher education teaching within the study programme in which the employee will conduct classes.
In addition, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Possession of at least the academic degree of Doctor (PhD) in social sciences or humanities in the discipline of Psychology
.
The following will constitute additional advantages:
- Experience in teaching at a higher education institution.
- Command of the English language sufficient to conduct classes, documented by appropriate certificates or other relevant documents.
In justified cases, the Rector may grant approval for the reduction of the above requirements, taking into account, in particular, the qualifications possessed by the candidate that contribute to the development of the represented scientific discipline and are necessary for the implementation of the University's research and teaching policy.
