- doctoral or postdoctoral (habilitation) degree in the field of archaeology
- candidate’s research and teaching aptitude proved with active participation in scientific life at the international level in the field of prehistoric archeology with particular emphasis on the pre-Roman and Roman periods, and the use of the modern methods of absolute dating, statistical analyses and Bayesian modeling; significant scientific achievements in this field (in particular a scientific monograph, scientific articles published in prestigious scientific journals, articles in reviewed post-conference materials)
- scientific achievements after doctoral degree
- teaching and organizational experience
- fluency in at least one Western European language
- experience in managing and implementing interdisciplinary research projects focused on the archaeology of the pre-Roman and Roman periods and the use of statistical and correspondence analyses, and Bayesian modeling;
- meeting the requirements set forth in the Law on Higher Education and Science (Art. 113) and the UMCS Statutes (§ 79)
