for the position of Assistant Professor in the teaching staff group
in the field of Humanities
in the discipline of Linguistics, specialization in translation studies
within the area of English Philology

Skills/Qualifications
- A completed master's degree programme in English Philology or Applied Linguistics, with English as the principal language.
- A doctoral degree in English linguistics, preferably in the field of translation studies.
- Teaching experience in higher education, including the delivery of courses in practical English language training and translation-related subjects, covering translation practice and/or translation theory.
- Readiness to teach courses in both full-time and part-time study programmes.
- Teaching classes in practical English language training, translation-related subjects, and diploma seminars.
- Improving teaching skills through participation in various forms of professional development, including courses, webinars, training sessions, etc.
- Participating in the organisation of the teaching process at the Department of Literature and Language Studies, including the organisation of course credits and examinations, as well as participation in work on study programmes.
- Popularising knowledge and promoting the achievements of the Department, Faculty, and University.
- Performing other tasks related to the organisation and improvement of the teaching process in the field of Philology, in accordance with the decisions of the Department/Faculty authorities.
The detailed scope of duties is set out in § 13, § 15, and § 17 of the Work Regulations of Koszalin University of Technology.
An employee is entitled to additional privileges:

The selection process takes place through the verification of the submitted competition documents by the Competition Committee of the Faculty of Humanities.

- Documented didactic and organizational achievements.
- Information on cooperation with organizations and scholarly associations, as well as activities popularizing science.
- Declaration of agreement for the personal data included in the offer to be processed to the extent indispensable for the realization of the recruitment process
- Information from the National Criminal Register regarding crimes specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Art. 189a and art. 207 of the Penal Code and in the Act of July 29, 2005 on counteracting drug addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 172 and of 2022 pos. 2600) or for prohibited acts corresponding to these crimes specified in the provisions of foreign law.

The Competition Committee will evaluate the scientific achievements and qualifications of the Candidates on the basis of the submitted documentation. The recruitment committee reserves the right to an on-line interview with selected candidates
