The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa hereby announces an open recruitment competition for the position of Assistant Professor (male/female) in the group of research and teaching staff, on a full-time basis, at the Department of Psychology.
The competition is open to candidates who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended).
The position of Assistant Professor in the group of research and teaching staff may be filled by a person holding at least the academic degree of Doctor (PhD) and demonstrating scholarly achievements contributing to the development of the scientific discipline represented by the employee, including:
- Scientific publications of international scope indexed in bibliometric databases recognized by the ministry responsible for higher education and science, or, in the case of the humanities or legal sciences, scientific articles published in journals of international or nationwide scope;
- Submission of applications, as principal investigator, in competitions for externally funded research projects within the meaning of the above-mentioned Act;
- Achievements in organizational activities, including the organization or co-organization of scientific conferences and academic events significant for the development of the discipline and having social impact;
- Organization of or participation in various forms of international cooperation;
- A positive evaluation of teaching performance confirmed by the Vice-Dean responsible for student affairs and teaching, or possession of teaching competencies relevant to the scientific discipline represented by the employee and to higher education teaching within the degree programme in which the employee will conduct classes.
Additional eligibility requirements
Candidates must also satisfy the following requirement:
- Hold at least the academic degree of Doctor (PhD) in Social Sciences or Humanities in the discipline of Psychology.
The following will constitute additional advantages:
- Experience in teaching at a higher education institution;
- Proficiency in the English language sufficient to conduct academic classes, documented by appropriate certificates or other relevant evidence.
