Eligibility criteria
  • the title of full professor
  • active participation in scientific life at the international level in the field of Neolithic and Early Bronze Age archaeology and significant scientific achievements in this field, in particular a scientific monograph, scientific articles published in prestigious scientific journals, articles in reviewed post-conference materials
  • teaching and organizational experience at a university as a lecturer
  • performing the function of a supervisor in at least one procedure for awarding a doctoral degree or preparing at least one review in the habilitation or doctoral procedure, or obtaining external funds for research or teaching activities at the University
  • fluency in at least two Western European languages
  • experience in managing and implementing interdisciplinary research projects focused on the Neolithic and/ or the Early Bronze Age issues
  • internships at foreign universities or research institutions
  • meeting the requirements set forth in the Law on Higher Education and Science (Art. 113) and the UMCS Statutes (§ 79)

Additional Information:
  • The results of the competition will be announced by September 15, 2026
  • Originals or certified copies of documents are required to sign the employment contract.
  • The outcome of the competition does not result in the establishment of an employment relationship.
  • The University reserves the right to cancel the competition without providing any reasons.
  • The decision on employment is made by the Rector.
