The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa hereby announces an open competition for the position of Assistant (Teaching Staff Group) on a full-time basis in the Department of Pedagogy.

The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements set forth in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended).

The position of Assistant in the teaching staff group may be held by a person who possesses at least the professional title of Master (Magister), Master of Engineering (Magister Inżynier), or an equivalent qualification, as well as academic or teaching competencies relevant to the scientific discipline represented by the employee and to higher education teaching within the field of study in which the employee will conduct classes, namely Pedagogy.

Courses to be taught:

• Corrective and compensatory classes;
• Methodology of corrective and compensatory classes for students with motor development disorders;
• Methodology of corrective and compensatory classes for students with emotional and social development disorders;
• Methodology of corrective, compensatory and remedial classes for students with specific learning difficulties in reading and writing;

In addition, the candidate must satisfy the following requirements:

• possession of at least a Master's degree in the field of Social Sciences – discipline:
  Pedagogy;
• documented knowledge of the English language sufficient to conduct university teaching classes;
• professional experience as a school pedagogue and/or educational therapist and/or speech and language therapist (speech therapist).

The following will constitute an additional advantage:

• experience in conducting academic teaching classes;
• completion of postgraduate studies and/or specialist training courses enhancing research and/or teaching competencies, documented by diplomas and/or certificates.
