The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa hereby announces an open recruitment competition for the position of Assistant Professor (male/female) in the teaching staff group, on a full-time basis, at the Department of Pedagogy.
The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements set forth in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended).
A person may be employed as an Assistant Professor (male/female) in the group of research and teaching staff provided that he or she holds at least a doctoral degree and has scientific achievements contributing to the development of the academic discipline represented by the employee, including in particular:
- Scientific articles of international scope indexed in bibliometric databases recognized by the ministry responsible for higher education and science, or, in the case of the humanities or legal sciences, scientific articles published in journals of international or nationwide scope;
- Submission of applications, as principal investigator, in competitions for externally funded scientific research projects within the meaning of the Act;
- Achievements in organizational activities, including the organization or co-organization of scientific conferences and academic events of significance for the development of the discipline and having social impact;
- Organization of or participation in various forms of international cooperation;
- A positive evaluation of teaching performance confirmed by the Vice-Dean responsible for student affairs and teaching, or possession of teaching competencies relevant to the academic discipline represented by the employee and to higher education teaching within the study programme in which the employee will conduct classes.
Additionally, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold at least a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Social Sciences or Humanities in the discipline of Pedagogy.
The following qualifications will constitute additional advantages:
- Experience in teaching at a higher education institution;
- Command of the English language sufficient to conduct classes, documented by appropriate certificates or other supporting documents;
- Professional experience in preschool and/or early primary education.
