The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Foreign Languages Centre) invites applications for the position of Lecturer in the field of English language teaching.
The successful candidate will join the academic staff responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction, with a particular focus on English for Specific Purposes (ESP), and will contribute to the University's teaching mission through the use of innovative and student-centred teaching methods.
Applicants must meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended), as well as the qualification requirements specified in Table 8 of Appendix No. 4 to the Statute of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, adopted by Resolution No.
494 of the Senate of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn of 21 May 2019, as amended.
Candidates must possess:
- a Master's degree in English Philology with a teaching specialisation or completion of an accredited pedagogical training programme ( with a final grade of at least 4.0 (or equivalent);
- documented experience in teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP)

Skills/Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- a Master's degree in English Philology with a teaching specialisation or completion of an accredited pedagogical training programme;
documented experience in teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP).
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate:
- practical skills and documented experience in the use of e-learning platforms in language teaching;
- qualifications to teach an additional foreign language;
- strong interpersonal and organisational skills relevant to academic teaching;
- flexibility and availability
Specific Requirements
Applicants are requested to submit:
- a letter of application addressed to the Vice-Rector for Education of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn;
- a curriculum vitae (CV), including a summary of teaching achievements and experience;
- copies of documents confirming educational qualifications (Master's diploma and/or degree certificate);
- copies of documents confirming additional qualifications and competencies (certificates, diplomas, attestations, etc.);
- a declaration confirming compliance with the qualification requirements for the position (Appendix No. 4, Table 8, to the UWM Statute)*;
- a declaration stating that the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn will constitute the applicant's primary place of employment*;
- proof of Polish language proficiency (applicable to non-Polish nationals);
- a declaration confirming that the applicant's health condition permits employment in the advertised position (not required from current UWM employees)*;
- consent to the processing of personal data (GDPR clause)*;
- a declaration confirming that the applicant has not been convicted of offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Polish Criminal Code, Articles 189a and 207 of the Criminal Code (Journal of Laws of 2025, item 383, as amended), or offences under the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939), or equivalent offences under the laws of another country.
