The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and meet the following qualification criteria:
- 1) a professional master's degree in midwifery,
- 2) hold a current document certifying the right to practice as a midwife,
- 3) have at least 2 years of professional experience as a midwife,
- 4) have the knowledge and practical skills to teach subjects including: obstetrics, gynecology, and obstetric-gynecological nursing,
- 5) hold or are in the process of obtaining teaching qualifications or have documented practical experience outside of higher education,
- 6) declare their primary place of employment at the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz.
For applicants from abroad, fluency in both written and spoken Polish is required.

Skills/Qualifications
Responsibilities:- teaching a total of 360 hours of full-time and part-time studies,
- professional development, participation in research activities,
- organizational work for the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, particularly at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Employment of an academic teacher in the teaching staff group under a fixed-term, full-time employment contract for the 2026/2027 academic year (from October 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027).

- 9) a declaration of receipt of information about the internal procedure for reporting violations of law and taking follow-up actions at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz (Appendix
4), - 10) a declaration that the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz will be the primary place of employment within the meaning of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Appendix
5).

The deadline for submitting documents is August 17, 2026 (the date of receipt at the University will be decisive).
The competition results will be announced by August 20, 2026. Information about the results, along with the justification, will be published in the University's Public Information Bulletin and on the website of the Minister of Education and Science.
Additional comments
The competition committee reserves the right to interview candidates who meet the required qualification criteria. Applications that do not meet the formal requirements or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered. We reserve the right not to conclude an employment contract with the successful candidate if the expected recruitment is not forthcoming in the 2026/2027 academic year. We reserve the right to cancel the competition without providing a reason.
The competition results do not constitute employment for the candidate, but rather constitute a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The Rector makes the final decision regarding employment.
