1. The competition is open to candidates who:
- meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended);
- hold a postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in the discipline of Literary Studies or a related discipline within the field of Humanities;
- possess a significant scientific and research record in the field of literary studies, English philology, or research on the culture of English-speaking countries;
- have teaching experience in higher education;
- have experience in conducting diploma seminars and supervising bachelor's and master's theses;
- have experience in international scientific activity or cooperation with foreign academic institutions;
- possess sufficient command of the Polish language to conduct classes with students;
- possess sufficient command of the English language to conduct teaching activities and seminars.
2. Candidates applying for the competition are required to submit the following documents:
- an application for employment addressed to the Rector of The Mazovian University in Płock;
- a copy, certified by the candidate as a true copy of the original, of the documents confirming the academic degrees of Doctor and Habilitated Doctor;
- copies of diplomas certified by the candidate as true copies of the originals;
- a list of scientific publications;
- copies of documents confirming professional experience and employment history;
- a declaration confirming compliance with the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science;
- consent to the processing of personal data;
- optionally, other documents supporting the application.
All documents must be signed.

Candidates whose applications are not accepted by the Competition Committee will not be informed of the results of the recruitment procedure. The University reserves the right to cancel the competition procedure without providing any reason. Winning the competition does not guarantee employment. In the case of applications submitted by post, the date of receipt by the University, rather than the postmark date, shall be decisive.
