The basic duties of an academic teacher in the research and teaching employment group include the tasks specified in Article 115 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended), the University By-laws [ Statucie Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Krakowie ]and the Work Regulations at the Krakow University of Economics[ Regulaminie pracy w Uniwersytecie Ekonomicznym wKrakowie ],in particular in Appendix 5 thereto (Framework scope of duties of an academic teacher employed in a given group).

The specific detailed tasks within the position will include:

• conducting academic courses on information systems, decision support systems, and artificial intelligence methods at the academic level in Polish and English, based on the latest research,
• conducting research in the fields of information systems, decision support systems, artificial intelligence, and data analysis,
• active participation in national and international projects and in securing research funding,
• preparation and publication of research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals,
• participation in the organization of conferences and other events aimed at popularizing science,
• organizational activities on behalf of the Department and the University,
• performance of tasks and duties assigned by superiors.

Skills/Qualifications

Requirements for candidates:

Candidates who meet the requirements specified in Articles 113 and 116 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and Article 50 section 5 of the KUE By-laws may apply for this position, i.e. they need to meet the following qualification criteria:

• hold at least a doctoral degree (PhD)
• for the group of research and teaching employees: possess scientific (scholarly), teaching, and organisational achievements;

Additional mandatory requirements include:

• a doctoral degree in the discipline of management and quality studies,
• very good command of spoken and written English,for foreign nationals, also proficiency in spoken and written Polish at a good level, i.e., sufficient to conduct classes,
• research interests, with a particular focus on issues related to information systems, decision support systems, and artificial intelligence methods,
• teaching experience (conducting/teaching classes - the form, the subject matter, the number of hours; results of assessments from student surveys, work experience at the university, as an academic teacher, developing curricula/creating study programs) and teaching achievements (indicating which ones - e.g. awards for teaching activities),
• experience and achievements in terms of scholarly/scientific activities (publications, grants, participation in conferences and internships, awards for scientific activities),
• organizational experience and achievements, e.g. organization of events popularizing science such as scientific conferences, scientific seminars, participation in projects, awards for scientific activity,
• plans for further professional development,
