Position: Bilingual Employment Counselor

Career Systems Development Corporation Careers seeks a Bilingual Employment Counselor to guide young adults in Job Corps programs toward meaningful careers. In this student-centered role, you'll provide bilingual counseling, assess strengths and barriers, and develop individualized career plans. You'll lead job readiness workshops, support job search and employer outreach, and track outcomes. Working within CSD's mission-driven, collaborative culture, you'll partner with education and training staff to connect students' skills with real opportunities while promoting accountability, respect, and inclusion.

This position offers the chance to make a direct impact on students' lives and contribute to innovative workforce development programs nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Provide bilingual employment and career counseling to Job Corps students
  • Assess students' skills, interests, and employment barriers to create career plans
  • Deliver job readiness workshops, including resume writing and interview skills
  • Support job search, employer outreach, and placement activities
  • Coordinate with education and training staff to align career goals with programs
  • Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and outcome data
  • Monitor student progress and provide ongoing coaching and follow-up support
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and student-centered environment
  • Engage families, employers, and community partners to expand opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with program, organizational, and funder requirements
