Industrial Engineering Technician​/Estimator

Job Summary:

Preparation of Cost Estimates and Engineering Documentation for New and Revised Products.

Function of Position:

* Gather/Calculate all estimating data for Sales Cost Requests

* Submit RFQ's to Purchasing Department for new or modified materials.

* Obtain and Review Tooling Quotes from Manufacturing/Tool Engineers

* Input of proposed manufacturing methods into ERP Estimating/Quoting Module

* Writing Engineering Orders for new products and changes to existing products

* Input of approved BOM and Routing updates to ERP system.

* Preparation of detailed Process Work Instructions

* Production print generation and revisions using Solidworks.

* Participate in weekly Sales/Engineering Cost/Design Review Meeting

* Additional Tasks may include…

* Motion and Time Study for Process Rate Determination

* Actual cost versus estimated cost audits

Requirements

Ideal

Skills:

* Proficiency using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD preferred.

* Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, or related software.

* Solid mechanical aptitude.

* Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Methods.

* Ability to communicate and work with people at all levels of the office and factory floor.

Required Qualifications :

* Education - Two-year technical or financial degree preferred. Equivalent experience considered.

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
