Location: Town of Poland
Job Summary
Lead the full commissioning scope for large and complex high‑voltage substation projects.
Manage an international team of commissioning engineers on site, ensuring safe, high‑quality, and on‑schedule execution in compliance with GE EHS and quality standards.
This is a site‑based position; during the execution phase a 100% site presence is required. The site is located near Łeba.
Responsibilities- Coordinate cost estimation and scheduling of commissioning activities.
- Define and implement subcontracting strategies in collaboration with EHS, Quality, Planning, and Procurement.
- Prepare commissioning‑related tender and proposal documentation.
- Plan site infrastructure (temporary and permanent) and support projects from concept to completion.
- Take responsibility for commissioning within the assigned project scope.
- Lead and coordinate international commissioning teams.
- Plan resources and mobilization; monitor progress, cost, and schedule.
- Track and report commissioning progress and EHS performance.
- Ensure timely availability of technical documentation with Engineering.
- Prepare key commissioning documentation (e.g., ITPs, test reports).
- Manage quality, risks, and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in commissioning or site execution in substations (HV/MV), power generation, or transmission & distribution projects.
- HVDC experience is a plus, not mandatory.
- Experience with several of the following systems:
Switchgear (HV/MV), transformers, protection & control, SCADA, telecommunication systems. - Strong understanding of electrical safety standards (HV safety rules).
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within international teams.
- Fluent in Polish & English.
- Knowledge of international standards and commissioning best practices.
- Willingness to travel across Europe and Asia.
- Offshore fitness required.
