Role Overview

We are looking for a senior Aerospace Simulation Engineer to support the development, testing, and maintenance of simulation models for complex avionics systems. The role focuses on component model derivation, system simulation, model validation, system identification, structured software testing, and technical support for engineering teams using simulation models. This position is well suited for an experienced space or aerospace engineer with strong simulation background, good coding practices, and experience working with Matlab/Simulink or comparable modeling tool chains.

Responsibilities
  • Derive, implement, and test component models for avionics system simulations
  • Maintain and improve the overall system simulation environment
  • Contribute to the codebase for model evaluation, analysis, and report generation
  • Perform structured software testing on own and colleagues' implementations
  • Maintain clean code structure, documentation, and traceability
  • Collaborate with technical experts on model derivation, validation, and updates
  • Perform system identification for component and system-level models based on test data
  • Support teams using models for flight control software verification and concept design studies
  • Challenge and improve technical concepts, tools, methods, and workflows
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in the space or aerospace industry
  • Experience with simulation of complex space or aerospace avionics systems
  • Experience deriving, implementing, testing, or validating simulation models
  • Experience with software testing, code structure, and technical documentation
  • Experience using test data for model validation or system identification
  • Good knowledge of the SimTG Modeling Framework is a big plus
