EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) Transaction Strategy and Execution team work together with German Real Estate Team. Together, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to join the GDS team in Poland.

The opportunity

Our team is one of the largest real estate and infrastructure groups of advisors, focusing on transformation advice for private and public clients. Our deep sector knowledge, combined with our global network and local market experts, enables us to add real value to our clients’ projects, particularly in large-scale infrastructure and energy transmission initiatives.

Your key responsibilities
  • Full life‑cycle consulting for infrastructure and engineering projects, including transmission grid and cable construction projects.
  • Provide consulting support across planning, design, and implementation phases of infrastructure engineering works.
  • Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies to define project requirements, risks, and constraints.
  • Develop, review, and monitor engineering plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Support project controls activities, including cost, schedule, and quality management.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to understand needs and deliver tailored, effective solutions.
  • Participate in business and operational transformation projects within the infrastructure and energy sector.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Perform site inspections and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Work with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Primavera, CDE Enterprise, Jira).
  • Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and regulations (including German standards such as VDE and DIN).
  • Prepare and present technical reports, market studies, project documentation, and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
Skills and attributes for success
  • Experience in project controls and project management for infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong analytical mindset with an open and solution‑oriented approach.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in complex, multi‑stakeholder project environments.
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of professional experience in infrastructure or transmission grid construction projects, preferably cable or DC projects.
  • Hands‑on experience in project controls, including cost, schedule, and quality management.
  • Knowledge of DC projects and applicable standards and regulations in Germany (e.g., VDE, DIN).
  • Experience working with project and collaboration software such as Primavera, CDE Enterprise, Jira
    , or similar tools.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • High willingness to travel based on project and client needs.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Experience working with or for German transmission system operators (e.g., Amprion, TenneT, 50

    Hertz, TransnetBW) or engineering firms delivering projects for these organizations.
  • Prior exposure to large infrastructure programs within the German or European energy market.
