Your responsibilities- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and recommend improvements, optimizations, or replacement technologies.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new manufacturing technologies based on customer requirements and internal business needs.
- Design and develop innovative manufacturing processes to improve process capability, product quality, production efficiency, and cost performance.
- Plan, manage, and execute process development projects in accordance with defined schedules and project objectives.
- Prepare technical and cost quotations for the implementation of new manufacturing technologies.
- Recommend optimal technical solutions based on engineering analysis, risk assessment, and business objectives.
- Initiate and conduct engineering analyses including PFMEA, statistical studies, validation testing, and other technical evaluations.
- Create, maintain, and update engineering documentation related to process development activities.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers, technology providers, and research institutions to support development projects.
- Define specifications and requirements for manufacturing equipment supporting newly developed technologies.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality, and value‑added production processes.
- Supervise equipment development, machine build activities, acceptance, and implementation at manufacturing sites.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies and industry trends.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for project reviews and management updates.
- Support global projects and travel to BWI facilities and supplier locations worldwide when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical field.
- Good understanding of engineering principles and machine design fundamentals.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process development and industrial engineering methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and problem‑solving techniques.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
- High level of analytical thinking, creativity, and technical problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required.
- Self‑driven, responsible, and capable of managing multiple engineering tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Experience or knowledge related to damper manufacturing processes.
- Experience with engineering analyses such as PFMEA, validation testing, or process capability studies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional and international teams.
- Experience cooperating with equipment suppliers, research institutions, or external development partners.
