Position SummaryBehavioral Health Professional assist adults with behavioral health concerns, living in the community, develop independent living skills and self-help skills by providing ongoing instruction/training, guidance, and modeling.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years' experience providing services to individuals with serious emotional disturbances.
- Preferred Education, Training &
Experience:
Knowledge of community crisis resources and response services. - Experience in collaboration within a community System of Care.
- Experience supporting individuals in education and employment.
Skills and Abilities
- Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy and dependable transportation.
- Functional knowledge of basic computer applications (i.e. word-processing, e-mail).
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed.
- Demonstrate patience, understanding, sensitivity and respect to children and families including regarding cultural/value/lifestyle differences.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and effective communication.
$16.96 per hour starting rate.
