UPMC Chautauqua is seeking an Experienced Program Manager to join our team in our Outpatient Addiction Medicine Department.
This position offers a Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm work schedule.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with people with mental health and substance use disorder needs.
- A background in supporting people with psychosocial and social drive of health needs.
- Experience in vocational, educational, employment support and services preferred.
- Experience with project management and program management preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, network development skills and report management.
As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for the administrative and clinical leadership and direction of the program. This includes the conceptualization, organization, and implementation of the program. You will be responsible for coordinating the overall direction of the program with all other supervisors.
Responsibilities- Monitor program productivity on a regular basis.
- Conduct individual evaluations of staff and volunteer performance within the set time period.
- Supervise training and orientation to all new staff and ongoing training to current employees as per Regulations.
- Provide clinical/administrative supervision to supervisors, and other program staff as needed on a weekly basis.
- Conduct all hiring, promotions, and disciplinary action for program staff.
- Oversee, direct, and coordinate all day‑to‑day functions of the program. Manage both clinical and administrative issues related to service delivery with other Program staff.
- Conduct interviews with candidates and review potential employees with a Human Resources representative.
- Work collaboratively with Clinical Administrator to develop and expand the program to meet the needs of the target population as it corresponds to the overall vision of UPMC.
- Conduct an evaluation of program goals from previous year, identifying accomplishments and areas of need to be used in strategic planning for the next fiscal year.
- Demonstrates compliance with Program and Institute policies and procedures.
- Provides or coordinates effective group training and individual supervision for all program staff and volunteers.
- Work directly with the Department of Human Resources (HR) to screen candidates for positions within the program.
- Develops, monitors, and maintains the Program within the proposed budget.
- Participate in internal, external and community meetings as deemed necessary by supervisor.
- Manage and oversee the flow of clinical paperwork related to service delivery.
- Manage programmatic issues related to all services. Monitor and manage all cases that are either entering or are currently in services.
- Defines annual strategic goals, which coincide with the mission of the business unit.
- Develops outcome procedures demonstrating program effectiveness.
- Develops procedures and a reporting structure to measure quality of care.
