Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate end-to-end video pipelines in cloud environments
- Automate video pipeline deployments, updates, and configurations through scripting
- Configure and manage backend systems and video-related products, with light development work where required
- Translate business and product requirements into clear technical specifications across multiple vendors
- Own and document the technical architecture for large-scale video implementations
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery
- Build deep expertise in our video products, platforms, and services
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in the video industry, ideally within OTT environments
- Strong backend or application experience with exposure to scripting and cloud infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with AWS video services (Elemental, Media Live, Media Connect, Media Package, Media Convert)
- Solid understanding of streaming protocols including HLS, DASH, and CMAF
- Experience configuring CDNs, particularly Cloud Front and Akamai
- Understanding of DRM systems and their configuration
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently
- Organised, curious, and motivated to learn new technologies
- Able to multitask effectively and think creatively to solve problems quickly
Bonus Skills
- Experience with non-AWS cloud video workflows
- Knowledge of video delivery QoS metrics and optimisation
- Familiarity with DRM platforms such as Cast Labs DRMtoday
- Exposure to video orchestration platforms like Harmonic VOS
