Overview

FT: IT Administrator, Jamestown. IT Administrator. Responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's computer systems, networks, and related IT infrastructure. Ensure that all systems are functioning correctly, secure, and up-to-date.

Salary: $69,000-$79,000

• System Maintenance and Upkeep:
  Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
• System Administration:
  Manage servers, network equipment, and other IT infrastructure components.
• System Integrity:
  Ensure system integrity and stability.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
  Identify and resolve technical issues, both hardware and software. Provide technical support to users.
• Security Management:
  Monitor network performance and security. Implement and maintain security measures. Manage user accounts and access rights.
• Data Backup and Recovery:
  Perform regular backups and develop disaster recovery plans. Restore data and systems in case of failures.
• Performance Optimization:
  Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. Optimize IT infrastructure for efficiency and productivity.
• Other Duties:
  Provide user training on new hardware and software. Stay up-to-date on the latest IT technologies and trends. Collaborate with other IT professionals and vendors.

• Strong technical skills:
  Proficiency in various hardware, software, and networking technologies.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills:
  Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication and interpersonal skills:
  Ability to communicate effectively with users and other IT professionals.
• Knowledge of security best practices:
  Understanding of security threats and how to protect systems.
• Experience with relevant IT certifications:
  Certifications like CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications, etc., can be beneficial.
