Global App Development & Data Lead

Purpose

As the Global App Development & Data Lead, you would play a key role in shaping BVI’s global digital transformation strategy. Reporting directly to the VP, Global IT (CIO), you would lead the development of scalable application, integration, and data capabilities that support BVI’s continued global growth.

In this highly visible “player‑coach” role, you would own the strategy and hands‑on delivery across Salesforce, custom application development, and data enablement and integration across commercial and operational domains. You would also drive AI‑enabled delivery practices, ensuring technology teams can scale efficiently while maintaining compliance within a regulated Med Tech environment.

• Lead the strategy, development, and optimization of custom applications and Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) platforms supporting commercial and operational workflows
• Own the Salesforce roadmap, governance, and enhancement strategy to improve sales, distribution, and service operations
• Drive AI‑enabled innovation across applications, analytics, and automation capabilities while maintaining compliance and governance standards
• Design and govern scalable enterprise integration and AI‑ready data architecture solutions using platforms such as Boomi or Microsoft Logic Apps
• Build and mature enterprise data governance standards, ensuring high‑quality, accessible, and AI‑ready data across the organization
• Lead application development, integration, and data teams using agile and Dev Ops best practices
• Implement and govern AI‑assisted development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks to improve delivery efficiency and quality
• Partner with commercial, manufacturing, and operations leaders to translate business challenges into technology roadmaps and scalable digital solutions
• Develop reporting and analytics capabilities that enable and support data‑driven decision‑making across the business.
• Partner closely with Quality and IT Security teams to ensure all applications, integrations, and AI‑enabled workflows comply with regulatory requirements including ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and GDPR

• 6+ years of experience in application development, data, integration, or IT leadership roles within a global environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong experience leading cross‑functional technical teams across software development, integrations, and enterprise data
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce (all clouds, including Agentforce), enterprise integrations, and modern application development practices
• Experience implementing AI‑enabled development, automation, or analytics capabilities within enterprise environments
• Experience designing and delivering AI‑enabled application and data capabilities at scale, with measurable outcomes such as accelerated sprint velocity, reduced integration complexity, or improved data accessibility.
• Strong understanding of Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and engineering governance
• Experience designing scalable enterprise data and integration architectures
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate directly with executive leadership and business teams
• Experience in a regulated industry such as Med Tech, Healthcare, or Pharma is strongly preferred
• Relevant certifications such as Salesforce, Boomi, Azure, AWS, or AI‑related credentials are a plus
• Ability and willingness to travel and visit BVI sites globally as required by business needs
