Senior Data Scientist​/Applied Scientist – Signal Processing & Algorithm Validation

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist / Applied Scientist with expertise in signal processing, statistical analysis, and algorithm validation. The role focuses on evaluating algorithm performance, investigating data discrepancies, and establishing confidence in system equivalency during platform or environment transitions.

• Validate and compare algorithm outputs across different systems, platforms, or environments.
• Analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and edge cases.
• Apply signal processing and statistical methods to assess whether observed differences are meaningful.
• Investigate algorithm behavior and document findings to support validation and knowledge transfer.
• Define validation approaches, acceptance criteria, and tolerance thresholds.
• Collaborate with engineering, migration, and business teams to resolve data integrity and system equivalency issues.

• PhD or strong research background in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong expertise in signal processing and time‑series analysis.
• Advanced statistical analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Python for scientific computing (Num Py, Sci Py, pandas).
• Experience validating algorithms, models, or analytical systems.
• Experience comparing baseline vs. new‑version outputs and investigating discrepancies.
• Ability to work with large datasets and edge cases.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.

• Publications or research experience.
• Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV), Verification & Validation (V&V), or regulated environments.
• Experience with platform migrations, system equivalency testing, or high‑frequency sensor data.
