Security Generalist - Cybersecurity Engineering Team
- Design, implement, and manage security controls and processes to protect our systems and data.
- Collaborate with IT, cloud and development teams to integrate security best practices into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Lead the process of documenting information about our systems and services, ensuring that all security‑related aspects are accurately captured and maintained.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, audit process, evidence and guidelines.
- Assist technical teams in implementing security requirements and maintaining documentation related to these requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance and security integrity.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
- Knowledge of Security: A broad understanding of technical security concepts, including network security, application security, and data protection.
- Documentation
Skills:
Strong skills in creating and managing comprehensive documentation, with a keen attention to detail. - Communication
Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Proficiency in English at B2/C1 level (Stanag 3,3,3,3). - Problem‑Solving:
Strong problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security issues. - Team Player:
Ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Certifications:
Any relevant security certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and other. - Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within the telecommunications or IT industry. - Technical
Skills:
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.q. CIS Controls), as well as experience with security tools and technologies.
As a Security Generalist at T-Mobile, you will play a key role in ensuring that our security processes and systems are thoroughly documented and that our technical teams are well‑informed about security requirements. You will work closely with various technical teams to help them understand and implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with our security policies.
