We are seeking a Portfolio Project Manager with German language (Contractor) based in Poland to lead enterprise POS implementation and transformation projects for a major Food & Beverage account in EMEA. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you’ll provide governance, financial oversight, risk and scope management, and build strong client relationships around solution delivery. You may also support other accounts or programmes as business needs arise.
Responsibilities- Lead delivery of implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects, ensuring compliance with standards, timely completion, and high customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain trusted long-term relationships with client stakeholders within strategic account environments.
- Oversee all project management processes, including planning, scheduling, resource management, and progress reporting.
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and invoicing coordination.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues; elevate when necessary to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Track and control project scope and manage change requests, ensuring impacts on timelines and budget are clearly communicated and agreed upon.
- Communicate effectively across multicultural and distributed EMEA teams.
- Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned within project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with technical delivery teams and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and compliance requirements, including GDPR.
- Maintain clear project documentation for knowledge transfer and audit purposes.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and take accountability for project outcomes.
- 5+ years’ experience managing portfolios, programmes, or projects with hands-on delivery responsibility.
- Proven track record delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
- Strong experience in stakeholder management, governance, financial oversight, and risk/scope management.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience working with C-level and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in distributed and multicultural teams.
- Proficiency with project management/reporting tools such as MS Project, Excel, JIRA, or Smartsheet.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and SDLC methodologies.
- Fluent English and German required.
- Must have the right to work in Poland (no visa sponsorship available).
