Senior Data Engineer

Job Overview

As a Data Engineer, you will join our Data Platform team and contribute to the development of a modern, scalable data platform built on Azure Databricks technologies. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining data processing infrastructure and pipelines that power AI/ML initiatives, analytics, reporting, and other business‑critical data solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing infrastructure and ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure.

• Build and optimize data solutions within Azure Databricks and Data Lakehouse environments.

• Deliver high‑quality, reliable data to support AI/ML applications, analytics, reporting, and other data consumers.

• Ensure data governance, security, integrity, and availability across the data platform.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data workflows and platform performance.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and implement effective solutions.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering.

• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous learning within the team.

Required

• Experience developing with Python, including Pandas and PySpark.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large‑scale datasets.

• Hands‑on experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes in Data Lakehouse environments.

• Practical experience with Azure cloud services.

• Experience working with Apache Spark and Azure Databricks.

• Understanding of data modeling, data integration, and modern data engineering best practices.

Preferred

• Experience working on data mesh architecture initiatives.

• Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines and data platforms supporting analytics and reporting workloads.

• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

• Work on cutting‑edge data and AI technologies.

• Be part of a collaborative and highly skilled Data Platform team.

Pay range and compensation package

• Contract of Employment: 18 000 - 25 000 PLN/month gross

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, internal equity, and the geographic location in which the role is performed. Compensation may vary for roles performed in different locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for variable compensation (such as a performance bonus or commission), benefits, and/or participation in other incentive or benefit plans, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and retirement benefits, subject to eligibility requirements.
