Cloud Architect

We are looking for Cloud Architect to join our EY GDS Technology Consulting team, focused on providing cutting‑edge IT solutions dedicated to the biggest market players in the EMEA region.

You will work with technologists and business specialists, blending EY’s deep industry knowledge and innovative ideas with our platforms, capabilities, and technical expertise. As a champion for technology transformation, you will be at the forefront of cloud transformation solutions, gaining growth, learning opportunities, and the chance to make a real impact.

• Provide innovative and practical designs for tech‑forward transformations, applying advanced technical capabilities
• Offer technical expertise to maximize value from new and existing IT products and solutions in cloud, multi‑cloud, and hybrid cloud environments
• Guide others in resolving sophisticated issues in cloud architecture and solve escalated aspects of the architecture
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and the business to deliver simple, easy‑to‑use systems that meet user needs and gain client/business buy‑in
• Coach, mentor, and support development teams during integration of components and services across the ecosystem, frameworks, and platforms
• Participate in pre‑sales activity, design technical solutions, estimate cost, propose strategy, gather non‑functional requirements, and document architecture

• Advanced understanding of cloud architecture
• Excellent communication of solutions, ideas, and suggestions to business partners
• Ability to adopt and relate new technologies to problems while adhering to security and other standards
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Willingness to share ideas, documentation, and leading practices
• Conceptual and analytical skills to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements or strategies

• More than 10 years of applied experience in IT, with at least 2 years in an architect role
• Hands‑on experience designing, building, and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture and non‑functional aspects such as performance, scalability, reliability, and availability
• Excellent English verbal and written communication with C‑Level customers

• Deep knowledge of technical architecture spanning all system aspects and its application in a business context
• Understanding of the latest cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options
• Working knowledge of design and integration of platform solutions
• Experience with programming languages
• Microsoft Azure, GCP, or AWS cloud certifications
