Business Analyst; Market Data

Our client is a leading global Financial market data provider who runs a number of change programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high-frequency, and low-latency data management chain. The projects are technically challenging in an environment that is very engaging.

We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in testing backend systems and services running under Linux, AWS, Azure and Windows, with capabilities to collaborate in a team-focused environment and coordinate work with QA, Dev, Operational, and cross-functional application teams.

• Develop clear and understandable functional specifications.
• Organize complex requirements into epics and stories within Jira.
• Document workflows and use cases as needed.
• Facilitate and contribute to technical discussions.
• Support development through handover, query resolution, and delivery oversight.
• Assist QA with handover, query resolution, and defect management.
• Manage the Jira backlog.
• Work with the project team to identify upstream dependencies and required efforts to realize product requirements.
• Define requirements for backend and content teams when necessary, focusing on real-time exchange connectors, data quality, and market data.

The role requires a solid foundation in computer science or a related discipline, supported by substantial experience in business analysis within trading or financial services. Expertise in Market Data is essential, ensuring informed decision-making and effective stakeholder engagement.

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Adaptability and proactivity in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Skill in handling expectations of demanding stakeholders with professionalism and tact.

• Familiarity with requirement elicitation techniques, such as workshops and interviews, is desirable to support effective information gathering.
• Ability to thoroughly document analysis results is preferred to accurately capture and represent business requirements.
