Our client is a $2.5B global B2B distributor building a new data platform from scratch on Google Cloud Platform. Core stack is Big Query and Dataform, with a semantic layer in progress. The goal is to move ETL and transformation logic out of the legacy BI tool (Qlik) into GCP for better scalability and governance.

• 5+ years of experience working as a Dev Ops.
• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong experience with provisioning Cloud Infrastructure using IaC, preferably Pulumi.
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes, is essential for creating and managing a portable and scalable application environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Git Lab CI or Git Hub Actions is crucial for automating the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stacks is important for detecting and troubleshooting system issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are critical for working effectively with development and operations teams and for managing stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to identify and resolve complex system issues.
• Ability to adapt to changes in technology, processes, and business requirements and be open to new ideas and approaches.
• A desire to learn and explore new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to stay current in the fast‑paced Dev Ops field.
• Clear and effective communication skills to collaborate with other teams, stakeholders, and management.
• Ability to work well in cross‑functional teams, share knowledge, and collaborate on projects to achieve common goals.

• Design, build, and maintain software delivery pipelines and infrastructure that support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure software is delivered with high quality, speed, and reliability.
• Automate manual processes such as testing, deployment, and monitoring to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues in production environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement remediation plans.
• Manage and scale infrastructure resources in GCP to ensure optimal performance and cost‑effectiveness.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Continuously learn and keep up to date with new technologies and industry trends to improve system performance, security, and efficiency.
