Job Overview

Designs and builds components of enterprise services, partnering with other development teams to ensure alignment of information and technology strategies focusing on integration, data provisioning, and reporting and analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities

Brings prior experience to organize and define work for complex or ambiguous situations.
Provides consultation, training, and knowledge sharing to associates and business partners.
Actively contributes to domain body of knowledge and process efficiencies.
Consistently provides proven, formal mentorship.
Lead High and Moderate complexity assignments.
Provide oversight/review on Low complexity assignments.
Regularly lead self and others and/or established as a specialist/SME.
Works with management and business partners to establish strategy for services provided.
Understands how IT strategy and services aligns to overall Acxiom strategy.

System Development Tasks

Gathers functional requirements, develop technical specifications, perform development and identify testing approach (unit, system, end user review and validation).

Help to align to overall strategies and balance competing priorities working with their leader.

Ensure common architecture decisions are implemented consistently across projects/programs.

Scoping and design of new services in conjunction with technology vendors.

Design with a balanced view of all key architectural quality metrics such as performance, scalability, reliability, availability, agility and interoperability.

Designs and develops schema (database) or document (JSON, XML…) definitions.

Design and develops ETL jobs across multiple platforms and tools (i.e. T-SQL, SSIS, snap Logic, SaaS APIs, XSLT, etc.).

Collaborate with business partner and IT teams to implement and support the management of the Enterprise Integration and Business process management layer (Reporting & Analytics, HR and Finance BPs, MDM, etc.).

Resolves defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches.

Contributes to the design and architecture of services across the data landscape.

Participation in development of the integration team, contributing to reviews of methodologies, standards, and processes. (this should be Senior level)

Comprehensive internal documentation of designs and service components.

Resolution of defects in response to support issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with 8+ years in a relevant field.

Preferred:

Experience developing database schemas and creating ETLs.
Experience with the following languages/technologies: T‑SQL, Python, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, snap Logic, Workday Studio, SOAP, REST, XSLT.
Experience in designing, developing and implementing Enterprise Integrations and Business Process Automation.
Experience with the design, deployment and operations of Web Services‑based environments.
Knowledge and practical experience with IT Service Management processes (Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, etc.).
Understand the integration and business process requirements and help the business partner to re‑engineer the Business process.
Proven track record in defining and executing services within a global organization.
Experience with ITIL and other related standards and industry best practices.
Proven experience participating in projects.
Solid communication skills:
Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process.
Experience with unit testing and data quality checks.
