Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join us and support IT initiatives delivered for one of our clients.

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, analysts, developers, security, operations, and external vendors to shape solution concepts and ensure their alignment with the enterprise architecture. You will support the business in preparing analyses and business concepts, assess the impact of planned initiatives on the existing architecture, and provide recommendations for future IT projects.

• Supporting business stakeholders in preparing analyses, assumptions, and business concepts for planned IT initiatives
• Preparing solution concepts covering business processes and system support within the existing enterprise architecture.
• Developing recommendations and assessments for planned projects, including analysis of their impact on the current IT landscape and system architecture.
• Defining IT solution concepts aligned with business and technology needs.
• Cooperating in the design, planning, and delivery of IT initiatives.
• Working with IT vendors on the preparation, implementation, and assessment of solution concepts.
• Creating, maintaining, and updating the as-is architecture model.
• Supporting the definition of architecture development directions within a selected domain or system landscape.
• Ensuring that proposed IT solutions are compliant with applicable architectural guidelines, standards, and principles.
• Cooperating with business and technical stakeholders to ensure consistency between the solution concept and organizational needs.

• Several years of experience as a Solution Architect, IT Architect, or Senior Software Engineer with real impact on system architecture.
• Experience in designing systems from scratch, as well as modernizing and integrating existing legacy systems.
• Broad technological knowledge, including:
  • application and integration architecture,
  • relational and non-relational databases,
  • cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, with practical experience in at least one of them,
  • API-based and event-driven architecture.
• Very good understanding of architectural and design patterns, including monoliths, microservices, SOA, event-driven architecture, and cloud solutions, with the ability to select the right approach for a given business context.
• Experience in designing resilient and fault-tolerant systems, including concepts such as circuit breaker, retry mechanisms, timeouts, and idempotency.
• Ability to model architecture and communicate it clearly through diagrams, documentation, and presentations.
• Good understanding of non-functional requirements, including performance, availability, security, maintenance costs, and observability.
• Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to make architectural decisions in situations with incomplete information.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to cooperate with different stakeholders, including business representatives, analysts, developers, testers, security teams, and operations.

• Experience working in regulated environments, such as finance, healthcare, or insurance.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and domain modeling.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture management tools and architecture repositories.
• Cloud or architecture-related certifications, such as Azure, AWS, or TOGAF, would be an advantage.
