Overview
Penta Consulting is a leading technology services partner delivering professional and managed solutions across EMEA.
We’re seeking a Cloud Solution Architect – SQL & Azure SQL to support one of our key enterprise clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys modernising data platforms, securing enterprise data, and helping organisations transition from on-premises SQL environments to Azure.
ResponsibilitiesSQL Server & Data Platforms
- Act as the technical authority across SQL Server (on-premises) and Azure SQL services
- Design, migrate, and optimise SQL Server environments in hybrid and cloud scenarios
- Support customers in organising, managing, and modernising data platforms in Azure
- Manage and optimise on-premises SQL clusters and high-availability configurations
- Design and implement Azure SQL solutions aligned with scalability, performance, and cost optimisation goals
- Support migration strategies including lift-and-shift and platform modernisation
- Provide best practices for database performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery
- Integrate Azure SQL with broader Azure data services and reporting tools
Security & Governance
- Ensure secure handling of customer data with a strong focus on data-level security
- Implement and advise on SQL security models, encryption, and access controls
- Support governance, compliance, and data classification initiatives
- Leverage tools such as Microsoft Purview to enhance data governance and visibility
Reporting & Insights
- Support integration with Power BI for reporting and analytics solutions
- Enable customers to build secure, scalable data visualisation frameworks
Key Requirements
- Strong expertise in SQL Server (on-premises) and Azure SQL
- Fluent Polish & English (written and spoken)
- Solid understanding of data security and securing SQL environments
- Hands-on experience supporting customers in data platform modernisation
- Experience delivering customer-facing technical engagements
