Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to design, operate, and support enterprise Linux systems in a production environment. The role involves system administration, automation, security hardening, and operational support
, with close collaboration across infrastructure, security, and application teams.
The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on Linux experience, a deep understanding of system reliability and security, and the ability to work effectively in business‑critical environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, operate, and support enterprise Linux platforms in on‑premises and cloud environments (GCP, Azure)
- Ensure system stability, availability, performance, and security across production and non‑production systems
- Perform regular patching and hardening of Linux systems and ensure compliance with internal standards and industry best practices
- Implement, maintain, and improve automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
- Support BAU / Run operations
, including incident management, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis - Participate in change management
, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities - Collaborate with security, network, storage, and application teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Participate in audit and compliance activities
, providing required technical documentation and evidence - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
, improving reliability and operational efficiency - Participate in an on‑call rotation to support critical systems
- Strong hands‑on experience as a Linux System Administrator / Engineer in enterprise environments
- In‑depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux
) - Understanding of system hardening and security best practices
- Experience supporting mission‑critical production systems
- Proficiency in automation and configuration management
, such as: - Ansible
- Terraform (or similar IaC tools)
- Solid scripting skills (e.g.
Bash, Python, or similar
) - Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)
- Experience with clustered or high‑availability solutions (e.g. Pacemaker, Corosync)
- Knowledge of Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Relevant certifications (e.g.
RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA
, or equivalent)
