Security and Network Engineer

We're hiring a Senior Security and Network Engineer to own the technical delivery of Cloudflare across our enterprise customer portfolio.

This isn't a "manage the dashboard" role. You'll be the hands-on expert designing, building, and operating Cloudflare configurations in complex, multi-tenant environments, where correctness and reliability directly impact customer trust.

• End-to-end Cloudflare delivery: WAF (custom rules, managed rulesets, rate limiting, bot management), CDN caching strategy, DDoS mitigation, DNS, TLS/mTLS, Zero Trust (Access, Tunnel, WARP), Workers, and API Shield.
• Customer onboarding from scratch: discovery, migration planning, configuration build-out, staging validation, and go-live.
• Automation and tooling for configuration management, bulk operations, and reporting via Cloudflare APIs and Terraform.
• Production troubleshooting across the full delivery chain, from cache logic and WAF rule conflicts to routing anomalies and origin behavior.
• Documentation, runbooks, and quality gates so the team can maintain and support what you build.

• 3+ years of hands-on Cloudflare experience in production.
  Not conceptual knowledge, real delivery.
• Deep protocol fluency: HTTP, DNS, TLS, TCP/IP - able to trace a request from client to origin and explain every decision Cloudflare makes along the way.
• IaC and automation experience:
  Terraform (Cloudflare provider), Python or Go for API-driven workflows.
• Comfort working directly with enterprise customers through ambiguous technical requirements.
• Experience in environments where a misconfiguration has real business consequences - strong validation and change management discipline.
• AI-assisted engineering:
  You use tools like Cursor, Codex, or similar to move faster, but you review and validate what they generate before it touches production.

Cloudflare certifications
· Akamai / Fastly / Cloud Front migration experience.

Application security background (OWASP, secure headers, CSP).

Managed services or consulting experience across multiple customer environments simultaneously.
