Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations, SRE/Site Reliability, Azure
About the Role
Together with our client, we are building and evolving a modern, enterprise-grade cloud platform on Microsoft Azure that powers critical business operations client operates in a domain where reliability, security, and delivery speed directly translate into business outcomes — and they trust us to own the engineering foundation that makes that possible.
Our Dev Ops team is a hands‑on, cross‑functional group responsible for the full infrastructure lifecycle — from IaC modules and CI/CD pipelines to Kubernetes clusters and observability.
Responsibilities- Be open to often onsite visits to client in Doha, Qatar with onboarding on‑site
- Own the cloud and Dev Ops architecture roadmap on Azure — define the vision, set the standards, and build the reference patterns
- Design and maintain Terraform modules for environment-separated, production‑grade infrastructure
- Build, improve, and operate Git Lab CI/CD pipelines for reliable, multi‑environment deployments
- Manage AKS clusters and containerized workloads — from ingress configuration to potential service mesh adoption
- Drive observability across the platform using Dynatrace for full‑stack monitoring, distributed tracing, dashboards, and alerting, integrated with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Embed security into every layer of the platform — secret management, network policies, least‑privilege RBAC, and Dev Sec Ops practices
- Lead, mentor, and grow a Dev Ops team — establish engineering standards and a culture of ownership
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization while maintaining performance and reliability SLAs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve the inner developer loop and the overall developer experience
- Maintain clear, practical documentation so that architectural decisions and platform standards outlive any single contributor
- Advanced experience as Dev Ops, Cloud, or SRE roles for 5+ years, with at least 2 years in a lead or architect capacity
- Strong skills in designing and operating production workloads on Microsoft Azure (AKS, API Management, Application Gateway, Front Door, VNet, Private Link, Key Vault, Service Bus, Event Hub)
- Proven proficiency in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform — including modular design, remote state, and environment separation
- Strong expertise in running Kubernetes in production, specifically AKS, with hands‑on Helm and containerized application experience
- Extensive experience with Git Lab CI/CD end‑to‑end — pipelines, runners, environments, container registries, and reusable pipeline templates
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking: VNet, subnets, NSG, Private Endpoints, DNS, and load balancing
- Solid knowledge of Azure security and identity:
Entra , RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, Azure Policy, and Defender for Cloud - Working proficiency in scripting with Bash, Power Shell, or Python
- Practical experience with Dynatrace or similar APM and observability tooling in a production context
- Strong ability to clearly explain technical trade‑offs to developers, security teams, and business stakeholders
- Familiarity with Git Ops approaches (ArgoCD / Flux) as an advantage
- Experience with Fin Ops or cloud cost optimization (nice to have)
- Certification in Azure (AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑400) or Dynatrace (as a plus)
