Lead Test Engineer – SAP SuccessFactors Job Jamestown area,Town of Poland New York USA,IT/Tech

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Test Engineer with strong expertise in SAP Success Factors to lead testing initiatives across HR transformation and enterprise application projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining test strategies, managing end-to-end testing activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions within Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end testing activities for SAP Success Factors implementations, enhancements, integrations, and support projects.
Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases aligned with business requirements.
Manage Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and User Acceptance Testing activities.
Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, HR stakeholders, and client teams to ensure complete test coverage.
Review requirements and identify potential gaps, risks, and dependencies early in the project lifecycle.
Lead defect triage discussions, prioritize issues, and drive resolution with development and business teams.
Monitor testing progress, provide regular status updates, metrics, and risk reports to project leadership and stakeholders.
Mentor and guide QA team members, ensuring adherence to testing standards and best practices.
Support release planning and go-live activities while ensuring quality gates are met.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across testing processes, automation opportunities, and quality assurance practices.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of overall QA/Testing experience with at least 4+ years of SAP Success Factors testing experience.
Strong functional knowledge of SAP Success Factors modules such as Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Compensation, Learning, or Talent Management.
Extensive experience in Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing, and UAT support.
Experience validating integrations between Success Factors and third-party or SAP applications.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect management, and quality assurance methodologies.
Hands‑on experience with Agile Scrum delivery models and direct client engagement.
Experience using project and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure Dev Ops (ADO), qTest, ALM, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP Success Factors certification is preferred.
Experience leading distributed QA teams and coordinating testing across multiple work streams.
Exposure to test automation frameworks and automation strategy planning is an added advantage.
Experience working in global delivery and client‑facing environments.
