3rd Line Support Engineer​/Technical Support Engineer

The 3rd Line Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, incident resolution, and change delivery for business-critical applications and financial data platforms.

The role focuses on troubleshooting complex issues, maintaining data integrity, implementing approved changes, and ensuring the stability and performance of production systems.

• Act as the highest escalation point for complex technical incidents beyond 1st and 2nd line support teams.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve application, database, and data-related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring and high-impact incidents.
• Develop permanent fixes and document known errors, solutions, and workarounds.
• Ensure incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed SLAs and OLAs.
• Provide out-of-hours support when required.

• Deliver approved application and database changes following established governance and release processes.
• Conduct technical analysis and impact assessments for change requests.
• Support deployments, configuration updates, and production releases.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.

• Support and maintain business-critical financial data across production and non-production environments.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, correction, and investigation activities.
• Ensure the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of business data.
• Support reporting and operational teams with data-related queries and issue resolution.
• Create and maintain automation tools to improve support processes and operational effectiveness.

• Strong experience supporting financial data systems or financial services applications.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
  Complex formulas, Pivot Tables, Data analysis, Macros,
• Strong VBA development experience for automation, tooling, and operational support utilities.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server experience, including: writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, performance tuning, data investigation and troubleshooting
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• .NET application support and troubleshooting.
• SQL Server Administration and Support.
• Database deployment and release management.
• Application monitoring and incident management.
• Data analysis and reconciliation.
• Previous experience in a 3rd Line (L3) Support environment.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Experience supporting business-critical or data-intensive platforms.
• Exposure to release management and production support processes.
• Experience in a client-facing support environment.
