TechnicalApplication Manager About the Role
For one of our strategic customers, we are looking for an experienced Technical Application Manager who ensures the reliable operation of business‑critical applications and platforms.
You will work at the intersection of application management, infrastructure, production support, and Dev Ops — collaborating with development teams, infrastructure specialists, architects, Service Delivery Managers, and customer representatives.
Your Responsibilities- Manage, monitor, and optimize business‑critical applications and services
- Ensure application availability, stability, performance, and operational continuity
- Analyze and resolve incidents across application, Linux, middleware, and database environments
- Perform Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management in line with ITIL practices
- Support application deployments, releases, upgrades, and lifecycle management
- Manage configuration, availability, capacity, and performance
- Automate recurring operational activities wherever possible
- Collaborate with Agile and Dev Ops teams to drive continuous improvement
- Coordinate technical activities across development, infrastructure, architecture, and service management
- Advise customers and stakeholders on technical improvements and best practices
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards
- Create and maintain technical and operational documentation
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Application Management, Application Operations, or a comparable role
- Proven experience managing and supporting mission‑critical applications in complex enterprise IT environments
- Strong practical knowledge of Linux systems (Red Hat, SUSE, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Oracle databases and practical database troubleshooting skills
- Experience with middleware technologies or application servers (Tomcat, Web Sphere, or similar)
- Experience with monitoring and performance analysis tools
- Practical knowledge of ITIL processes:
Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management - Experience in Agile and/or Dev Ops environments and understanding of CI/CD concepts
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Independent, accountable, ownership‑driven mindset with strong communication and customer focus
- Scripting and automation experience (Bash, Python, Power Shell, Ansible, or similar)
- Experience with container platforms such as Open Shift or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms
- Experience in application migrations, modernization, or transformation projects
