Job Description
This position requires regular support during U.S. business hours, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time (approximately 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM in Poland, depending on Daylight Saving Time). Candidates must be comfortable working this schedule as part of a globally distributed team.
Position SummaryThe Technical Project Manager works as a member of the Product Development Project Management Office (PMO) within Epiq’s Legal Solutions business unit. In this role, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering cloud-native software projects that support both internal users and external SaaS clients across Epiq’s Legal Solutions Technology and Epiq Service Cloud platforms. The Technical Project Manager partners closely with engineering, product management, QA, and business stakeholders to drive project success from initiation through deployment.
The Technical Project Manager serves as the primary point of coordination across cross‑functional teams, ensuring that project scope, schedule, and budget are clearly defined, tracked, and communicated to all stakeholders throughout the life cycle. The Technical Project Manager applies proven project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid) to guide development teams building and enhancing in‑house cloud‑native applications, including Epiq Discovery and the Epiq AI Discovery Assistant, for both internal operations and external SaaS clients.
- Lead end-to-end project management for cloud-native software development initiatives within the Product Development PMO, ensuring projects are delivered on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Define and maintain project plans, milestones, resource plans, risk registers, and status reports; proactively identify and resolve blockers to keep projects on track.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; coach teams on Agile best practices to improve velocity and delivery quality.
- Serve as a primary liaison between product owners, engineering teams, QA, and business stakeholders; translate technical requirements into clear project deliverables and communicate status and risks to leadership.
- Manage project intake, prioritization, and portfolio visibility within the PMO; support continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and tools to drive consistency and efficiency across the product development organization.
- Partner with product management to maintain and refine the product backlog, support release planning, and ensure alignment between roadmap priorities and engineering capacity.
- 3 to 5 years of project management experience in a software development or technology company, with a demonstrated track record of delivering cloud‑based or SaaS products.
- PMP, PMI‑ACP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with Agile and Scrum methodologies; experience managing development sprints, backlogs, and release cycles in fast‑paced product development environments.
- Working knowledge of cloud‑native software development concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP); ability to engage credibly with engineering teams on technical topics without necessarily being a hands‑on developer.
- Hands‑on experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, or similar platforms; ability to build and maintain project dashboards, tracking reports, and PMO artifacts.
- Experience managing projects for SaaS products serving both internal enterprise users and external clients; understanding of software release management, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows is a plus.
- Experience in the eDiscovery, legal technology, or litigation support industry is strongly preferred but not required.
- Proven problem‑solving abilities, critical thinking, and sound judgment when managing competing priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
- Self‑starter capable of working with distributed, cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment; comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive clarity.
