IBM Power Systems Administrator (AIX/Linux on Power) - Remote
RED now has a new contract opportunity for an IBM Power Systems Administrator (AIX/Linux on Power) to join one of our key partners on a large-scale infrastructure project. This opportunity is to start ASAP and will be fully remote.
Specific skills/experience required:- 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Administration.
- Strong hands‑on experience with IBM Power Systems (Power8, Power9, Power
10). - Extensive experience with AIX 7.x administration.
- Expertise in PowerVM, VIOS, HMC and LPAR management.
- Experience with PowerHA, High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Strong knowledge of SAN Storage, Multipathing and Storage Administration.
- Experience with NIM, mksysb and IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM).
- Scripting experience with KSH, Shell Scripting and/or Python.
- Experience with patching, upgrades, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes, Incident Management and Change Management.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Candidates must be based in Europe.
