Middle Azure DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Middle Azure Dev Ops Engineer to join our team and contribute to innovative client projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who has hands-on Dev Ops experience and enjoys working with data-intensive environments, analytics platforms, and cloud-native infrastructure.
You will help build and improve Dev Ops practices, automate cloud infrastructure, and support modern data platforms running on Azure. Whether your background includes Data Ops, database administration, or infrastructure engineering for data workloads, you’ll have the opportunity to apply and expand your expertise while working with experienced teams and modern cloud technologies.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, and Git Lab.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and Azure-native services.
• Support, optimise, and maintain environments hosting data platforms, databases, analytics solutions, and business-critical applications.
• Collaborate with development and data teams to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and contribute to platform standardisation initiatives.
• Manage and support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability using observability and monitoring solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure, deployment, and database-related issues.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to Dev Ops, Data Ops, and cloud platform best practices.
• Continuously identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience as a Dev Ops Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Data Ops Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and Azure Dev Ops.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Exposure to data-oriented environments, including databases, data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics platforms, or Data Ops practices.
• Understanding of database administration concepts, performance optimization, backup strategies, and operational support is highly valued.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or similar technologies is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Clear communication and a proactive mindset.

• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, DP-203, or similar).
• Experience supporting modern data platforms and data engineering teams.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor, or Application Insights.
• Knowledge of database automation, Data Ops practices, and data platform operations.
• Understanding of cloud security and governance best practices.
